Celebrating Soft Wins in Cardiff
Thursday 29th May saw the streets of Cardiff come alive as ON, and Sports Direct Cardiff joined forces for a vibrant community run, part of ON’s inspiring Soft Wins campaign.
Designed to redefine what it means to “win” in running, the Soft Wins initiative encourages runners to embrace their own pace, purpose, and progression, and that’s exactly what this event was all about.
A Community Run for Every Runner
Hosted at Sports Direct Cardiff, the night brought together local run crews including EZ.RC, Sunday Run Club, and Short Strides for a 6km shakeout through the scenic paths of Bute Park. Runners of all levels laced up to test drive the brand new ON Cloudsurfer 2, a shoe built for effortless comfort and smooth transitions, the perfect partner for a laid-back group session.
Leading the charge was EZ.RC’s own Tommy Burnell, fuelled by Run & Base tunes, good vibes, and plenty of mid-run chat.
Back to Base
Post-run, runners returned to Sports Direct to share their views on the Cloudsurfers and bag some free ON merchandise. Our very own EZ.RC runners Luke and Cat, shared their personal reasons for running and in doing so, each earned a free pair of ONs for their honesty and motivation.

Why It Mattered
This wasn’t just a run, it was a celebration of the Cardiff community, and has left us all reflecting on why we do it. If it works for you – it’s a Soft Win.
