MEET EZ.RC : TYLER
We’ve cornered a few of our EZ.RC team members and asked them all the burning questions.
What’s a training goal that excites you right now?
Currently it’s not about a specific time or distance, it’s about staying consistent and building a routine. Right now, my goal is to build the habit of repeatedly turning up.
What is your ‘why’ for running ?
Since I stopped playing rugby, I missed the sense of community and mutual drive of training with others. EZRC fills that gap, not just physically, but socially too. I keep coming back because it gives me that same team energy I used to love, but in a new way.
What drew you to EZ.RC and what keeps you coming back?
The energy. From the very first run, the positivity and encouragement of the group stood out and still does. Everyone wants to see each other do well!
Can you describe a moment at EZ.RC that really stuck with you?
I’d say the original Penarth hill sessions stand out the most, especially those winter ones when only a few of us showed up. I never thought I’d actually enjoy something that tough, but somehow, I did.
If you could go back and give your beginner-runner self some advice, what would it be?
Don’t overthink it. Just start, and keep showing up. You don’t have to be fast and you don’t have to go far. The important thing is building the habit and enjoying the process (even the tough parts).
What do you tell yourself when a run feels tough?
This is the moment I came for. Growth lives in the struggle I don’t want to face.
