MEET EZ.RC : RAPA
We’ve cornered a few of our EZ.RC team members and asked them all the burning questions.
What’s your “why” for running? What keeps you coming back?
Running has such a positive impact on me mentally as well as physically. I just want to be the best version of me for my children, family, and friends.
What drew you to EZ.RC, and what keeps you coming back?
Tommy has been one of my best friends for the last 20 years, he asked me if I thought if starting a run club would be a good idea. To see it continue to grow each week keeps me coming back every week.
How has your relationship with running changed over time?
I used to hate running, I would not go to gym classes if it had a running element, now it completely shapes every training session I do throughout the week and will do for the rest of my life.
If you could go back and give your beginner-runner self some advice, what would it be?
Just keep turning up, consistency is key!
What’s a non-running habit or mindset that’s made you a better runner?
Hard work quite literally pays off.
How has being part of the club impacted your running?
Being a part of EZRC had impacted my life in many ways, it’s the two sessions a week I really look forward too. Meeting likeminded people who just want to get better every day. Leading a track session to 100+ people while Tommy was on holiday is definitely something that will stick with me.
What’s the best piece of running advice you’ve ever received?
Dress for the second mile, not the first!
What do you tell yourself when a run feels tough?
This is why you do it.
Describe your perfect post-run meal or ritual.
It has got to be a coffee and an almond croissant.
